Vintage Box Hand Decorated With Enamel Decoration

  
This listing is for a beautiful vintage Iranian box with delicate enamel decorations. Silver plated (dont see any markings). The inside shows a smooth polished metal surface with some tarnish and wear. Exterior finish : The gold tones area suggest it might have been gilded cover the silver. Decoration : The floral vine deigns one the lid and sides are filled with colored enamels - blue, green and yellow in a champleve technique. The back ground has a stippled texture, which helps the gold tone stand out. The wear, patina and style suggest mid 20th century possible between 1930 and 1960. A beautiful, unusual collective piece.
