Vintage Oak 2-Drawer Library Index Card Card Box Brass Handles Utility

  
First off, I just want folks to know that my camera wants to make this box more of a honey/golden color than it is in person. It's darker and warmer in person. The photo with the index cards shows the truest color. This is a neat old index card box, possibly used by a small library or a police station in the past. It's made of oak and the top piece has a bit of that "tiger" figuring you find on old oak stuff. The box itself has a painted or decal logo that says "Utility" but the metal parts inside are marked "Globe". The box is sturdy and in working condition. The metal sliders are a bit stubborn but they move. The box measures 13" wide, 5" tall, and 12.25 deep. The drawer interiors measure 5"x3.5" high and can take modern, common index cards. The box has some scuffs, wear, etc. The bottom is pretty ugly and needs new felt feet, but it could easily be refinished if needed.
