VINTAGE 1978 STAR WARS DARTH VADER TIE FIGHTER IN BOX LIGHT WORKS 39100 No Sound

  

This is a VINTAGE 1978 STAR WARS DARTH VADER TIE FIGHTER IN THE ORIGINAL BOX (#39100). The battery terminals and slot looks great with no sign of corrosion.

The LIGHT WORKS (see 2nd picture) but not the sound. That can likely be fixed but would take someone with more toy restoration skills than I have.

The toy is in very good condition. The seat lifts up and down as it should.

The top hatch opens without difficulty. The push buttons works perfectly to eject the snaps.

THE SNAPS ARE SEPARATED FROM THE WINGS as is very common. The wings will still fit into the tabs of the snaps for display but takes some maneuvering. For more stable wing application you may wish to glue the snaps to the wings. There is minor sticker wear. The box is in good condition but does have a tear on the bottom as shown in the last picture.

There is some light staining to the white parts of the inner flaps. There is some tape and tape marks on the box. Overall, the box displays very well from the front and back if the bottom is face down. Comes from a smoke-free home.
