RARE Large Antique French Petrifying Well Jewelry Box c1900. It has 5 petrifying well panels with various scenes.

It says "Souvenir du Pont Naturel" which is in Clermont-Ferrand, France, where used to be a petrifying well and where there is still a natural bridge. The cushion has a tear but overall is in good condition for its age (see photo). The back panel has a crack line on the top left (see photo). It's in good condition. A true collector's piece!
