PIERO FORNASETTI slide box, Vintage 1950s, Wood & metal with hats motif, Italy

  
The rectangular slide box consists of two parts: a wooden receiver and a folded metal plaque painted in brick-red with a black lithographed image of nine different hats on a hat holder, canes and umbrellas. We can't see any signature: indeed, at that time the box was signed on a paper label sticker on the underside felt, sticker missing here. The box is in good condition with a few losses of paint at rare places. There are some adhesive plaster inside the metal part on the two sides, we noticed this detail on another box for sale too. Width: 14 cm / 5.50. Depth: 10.5 cm / 4.15. Height: 4 cm / 1.575.
