The watch WORKS and keeps time. There is no wear to gold and only a light patina on the back of the watch. There are no gold markings. We did not open the watch as it opens from the front and the stem would have to be removed to see markings on the back of the movement. The crystal is very clean with only very light scratches that can only be seen with a 10 power jeweler's loop. The 12 inch chain is a square snake link and does not show any wear to the gold tone. The silver satin watch face is clean. The red plastic box has scuff marks from age and the white satin lining has foxing from age. The box is marked on the bottom MADE IN USA. By the watch & box design, we would say this is from the 1960s.
