This antique vintage silver plated yellow brass metal box is round in shape with a fluted barrel design with 8 lobes, featuring intricate hand crafted hammered and ornate floral details. The box has a hinged lidded top and stands on 4 round ball shape feet, measuring 16.5 inches in length. Crafted from silver plated metal, this handmade piece showcases a floral pattern and an antique finish, adding to its artistic appeal.

We believe this was custom crafted possibly in the Middle East or South Asia circa late 1800s to early 1900s time frame so may be Victorian or Art Deco or a the very least is MCM Mid Century Modern. We have not been able to find another quite like it during our research so this was likely custom made for wealthy customer. READ: Condition is overall good with one end has a buckled seam from this item possibly being dropped (see last photo).

This item is well patinated with some silver tarnish oxidation along with verdigris oxidation from the copper or brass that we left intact so you can decide whether to remove or not. An restoration expert could gently heat and bend this back into position and resolder if desired.

This being said, this box is completely hand fabricated by an master metal worker whom invested significant amount of time, energy, and skill into creating this art work. It is a true statement piece that has beautiful flower, rope twist, scroll, and geometric accents.
