Vintage Tamiya Boomerang Rolling Chassis With Original Box Plus Spares Hotshot

  
For sale, with much regret is my original Tamiya Boomerang. This is an original, not a re-release! I got this buggy a couple of years ago and did a partial restoration that involved replacing the gears with vintage spares and upgrading to ball bearings.

I also replaced the front wheels which were warped and the rear suspension arms because one of them had a crack. The buggy is to the best of my knowledge complete except for the driver figure and the parts relating to the manual speed control.

The mount for the second servo and MSC are not present as the buggy had already been converted to an electronic speed control when I got it. I used to drive the Boomerang regularly but I decided to put it on the shelf about a year ago because I didn't want to end up wrecking it after it had managed to survive all these years.

I'm sure she would still run just fine after a once over with a screwdriver and spanner just to make sure all the screws and nuts are tightened. The motor currently fitted is the original Johnson 540. A servo is also fitted but no ESC or radio gear. The buggy is also supplied with a selection of spare parts including suspension arms, wheel adapters and shock absorber parts.

I would say the buggy is in very good overall condition for it's age. It's certainly not perfect after an amazing 32 years of use but I have certainly seen much worse on here! The box is far from perfect but it's certainly not bad for a piece of cardboard from 1986! I will add more photos to the listing soon to give a better overall impression of the condition!
