Vintage Soviet Era Wooden Jewelry Box. For sale is a unique wooden jewelry box from the Soviet Union, crafted during the 1960s-1970s. This piece exemplifies exquisite handiwork with intricate carved ornamental and floral patterns, showcasing the high skill of its creator. The box was made in a prison workshop (known as "Zekprom"), adding significant historical and cultural value. It features a two-tier design: a top compartment with a hinged lid and a lower drawer, both adorned with detailed carvings.

Crafted from high-quality wood with a warm, rich finish that highlights the natural texture of the material. The top compartment has a lid with simple metal barrel hinges, revealing an interior lined with fabric featuring a geometric pattern (green background with triangles and stripes). The lower drawer slides out and is lined with red fabric showing slight wear, adding to the item's authenticity. The carvings include complex spiral and floral motifs that decorate all visible surfaces, including the legs and edges.
