Lego set 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost VINTAGE BLACKTRON 100% complete with manual

  

Smoke free & stored in a climate controlled environment. All sets are built with 100% Lego. We pull every set using a parts list from Bricklink. We build each Lego set to verify all parts are accounted for and not broken / damaged. Lego Set 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost (tested and in perfect working condition).

Is a rare and hard to find set released in 1991. This vintage 32 year old set from the Blacktron II theme comes 100% complete to the best of our knowledge with 406 pieces including 5 mini figures (Blacktron astronauts), 9V battery box with cover (battery NOT included), black landing baseplate, raised baseplate. , several vehicles, and many fun features and accessories. Instructions are included and in good condition (some of the inner pages were slightly stuck together which caused a small amount of minor damage to several of them). Raised Baseplate : The original owner left the set in a bucket in their garage at summertime. The tires melted in the heat causing areas on the raised baseplate to melt where the tires touched it.

No other pieces were affected by this. The areas that have the melt damage do NOT affect the build in any way. Please view all photos as they are part of the item description.

This set is in excellent "played with" condition. Some pieces may show play wear and/or fading/discoloration due to age. Cloth items such as capes or sails may be frayed, wrinkled, or creased but can be trimmed carefully with scissors or safely ironed on a low steam setting. GRADING: As with any grading system it is open to interpretation!

"Played with" means it is open. Excellent condition means very little play wear IE: the Lego is still shiny with little to no scratching or discoloration / fading.

Great condition means it still has some shine, minor scratching, it may have small nicks, and there may be some light discoloration / fading. Cloth and plastic items may show fraying or stretching. Good condition means it will have some scratches, there will be some discoloration / fading noticeable, it may have small nicks, cloth and plastic items may show fraying or stretching.
