Vintage 1964 Gi Joe 1st Issue Salesman Sample Ammo Box Unmarked + Glue Residue

  

This ammo box is UNMARKED. I found this box in the same lot I found a salesman sample GI JOE sleeping bag with ties, canteen with cover, mess kit, and. 30 machine gun with tripod (all four currently listed in my other auctions). The normal ammo boxes are found marked on the inside of the lid either, "Hasbro" or "Hasbro Japan", this box is not marked at all. There is a bit of brownish sticky glue residue on the back of the ammo box as pictured this.

Is an indication, along with it being unmarked, that this is definitely a salesman sample, as many salesman samples were glued or taped to the cards. For those of you that know Dan McKee (one of the most knowledgeable in this hobby), this ammo box has been verified by him as an authentic GI JOE salesman sample. This is a super rare item and almost impossible to find! See photos for details and condition.
